The bodyguard trope has become one of my favorites and this one did not disappoint. Especially when they’re such a grump but actually a teddy bear inside. Pixie Hart/Kelly Jo Sullivan is a big country music star, “America’s Sweetheart”, and she just wants a break from everyone. Her brother disagrees and sends in his Navy SEAL friend in to be her bodyguard. Of course this impedes with her alone time, and she does not want him there AT ALL. Which of course, quickly falls apart and becomes the opposite as things get steamy. After all, there’s only one bed. Though always on his guard for her protection, he emotionally starts to let his guard down and open up more about himself; and same with Kelly. Here is someone who is not trying to control her life. The two find a balance in each other; their worlds are completely different and they live states apart. What will happen when the vacation is over?
